Frequently asked questions
The questions we're asked most about Solunar Gateway — access, models, data, reliability, and commercials. Anything else, just email us.
01Basics
What is Solunar Gateway?
Solunar Gateway is an AI access layer: one endpoint that reaches mainstream large models, flagship to open-source, through official channels — with independent nodes, enterprise-grade token governance, and transparent billing. Operated by Solunar AI Inc. (British Columbia, Canada), with end-to-end delivery from integration to rollout.
Who is it built for?
Teams that actually run AI in mission-critical work: research institutes, SMBs, global teams, and one-person companies. With or without an in-house technical team, we own the path from integration to rollout.
What kind of company is Solunar?
Solunar AI Inc., an incorporated technology company in British Columbia, Canada. We work only at the application layer on AI access and delivery; we neither train nor resell the underlying models. As an incorporated entity, there's a clear party for partnerships and accountability.
02Models & quality
Which models can I access?
A single endpoint reaches mainstream large models, flagship to open-source, covering chat, reasoning, embeddings, and more. The full model list and pricing are provided after access, and we advise on model selection for your use case.
Will models be degraded or diluted?
No. We run through official API channels — no reverse-engineering, no downgrading, no model swaps — and at onboarding we can verify authenticity against your real tasks before you go live.
How do I verify I'm getting the real model?
Run your real tasks and compare against official behavior — watch result quality, context length, and stability. We also build verification of authenticity and stability into the service, with a report against your real traffic. See official channels vs cheap relays.
03Integration
Do I need to change my code? Is it API-compatible?
Almost none. It's compatible with OpenAI and other major APIs — typically you just point your base_url to the dedicated endpoint assigned after onboarding, while model names, SDK, and calls stay the same.
How long does integration take?
Drop-in integration usually takes about half a day; delivery is then tuned to your use case until it's genuinely usable.
How is it different from a cheap relay?
The difference is underneath. We run through official channels — no reverse-engineering, no downgrading; on independent nodes, not shared accounts; with transparent, reconcilable billing; and under an incorporated entity you can hold accountable. See official channels vs cheap relays.
04Data & compliance
Is my data captured or used for training?
No. Your data is yours — never captured, sold, or used to train models, with those data boundaries written into the contract.
Are data boundaries written into the contract?
Yes. The commitments to never capture, sell, or train on your data are written into the contract and carried by an incorporated entity — not left as a marketing line on a web page.
Does it suit compliance- or audit-sensitive work?
Yes. An incorporated entity (registered in BC, Canada), transparent and reconcilable usage and billing, and traceable records make reimbursement, audit, and partnerships straightforward.
05Reliability & commercial
How is stability ensured? Is there an accountable party?
It runs on independent nodes and networks, not shared accounts, with 24/7 monitoring and fast recovery. As an incorporated entity, there's a clear party responsible when something goes wrong.
How does pricing work?
Pricing follows usage and delivery scope. After you request access, we cost it out against your real workload before proposing a plan — with transparent, reconcilable billing and no blanket quotes.
How do I get access, and is delivery included?
Invite-only for now. Email service@solunarai.com with your use case and we'll assess and arrange onboarding; one team handles integration, validation, and delivery. Self-serve sign-up will open once the console is live.
